During the winter months, Bled and its surroundings change into a fairy-tale, romantic snow-white dress. Just a stone’s throw away from the Pension Lukanc there are cross-country skiing tracks, and for the more demanding, the world-famous biathlon centre Pokljuka with its numerous tracks is only 16 kilometres away. At Straža you can find a smaller ski slope suitable for beginners and night skiing. For more advanced skiers, ski resorts Vogel and Kranjska Gora are only 35 kilometres away, and the popular ski resort Krvavec is only 40 kilometres away. Straža and Pokljuka offer perfect tracks for sledding enthusiasts, and ice-skating fans will be able to skate outdoors or in the Bled Ice Hall. Those who want to relax and enjoy in the swimming pool, saunas or getting a massage, Bled Wellness Centre Živa is the place to visit. A visit of the Bled Castle, Info Centre Triglavska roža and museums in Radovljica and broader Radovljica municipality is recommended to all visitors who want to learn more about the natural and cultural heritage.
